Brooks Lake Lodge and Spa is located in Wyoming’s Rocky Mountains within driving distance of Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton National Parks. This historic lodge is situated within Shoshone National Forest—the first national forest to be established in the United States.

DO NOT FOLLOW GPS DIRECTIONS! They send you to the wrong place.
From Jackson, Grand Teton, and Yellowstone
1. Exit Grand Teton or Yellowstone National Park through the Southern Entrance at Moran Junction. From here turn left on Route 26 heading east towards Dubois. Brooks Lake Road is 16 miles past Togwotee Mountain Lodge and 7 miles past the top of Togwotee Pass.
2. Look for a brown sign on the right that reads National Forest-Brooks Lake. Brooks Lake Road is on your left just past the sign. If you reach a gas station/motel/restaurant called Lava Mountain Lodge you have gone about 2 miles too far.
3. Take the left onto Brooks Lake Road 515 (gravel road). We are located 5 miles up this road. Please be cautious on Brooks Lake Road as there are many curves with some narrow areas.
4. You will need to enter our gate which may be closed (but not locked). If it is closed, please close the gate behind you after you enter. Pull up to the main lodge for registration.
From Dubois
1. Leave Dubois west on Route 26 in the direction of Togwotee Pass. Continue on Route 26 for 22 miles.
2. Look for a brown sign on the left that reads National Forest-Brooks Lake. Brooks Lake Road is on your right just past the sign.
3. Take the right onto Brooks Lake Road 515 (gravel road). We are located 5 miles up this road. Please be cautious on Brooks Lake Road as there are many curves with some narrow areas.
4. You will need to enter our gate which may be closed (but not locked). If it is closed, please close the gate behind you after you enter.
5. Pull up to the main lodge for registration.
Airports
The nearest airport to the Lodge is Jackson Hole Airport (JAC).
Other airports in the area include Riverton (RIW) and Idaho Falls (IDA).
When coming from Jackson, please use these driving directions (these are better than your GPS).
Elevation
Brooks Lake Lodge and Spa sits among the Rocky Mountain peaks at 9200 feet above sea level. It is one mile from the North American Continental Divide and has incredible views of the Pinnacle Buttes, Austin’s Peak, and Brooks Mountain.
Arrival
In the winter season please pre-arrange your arrival information at booking as we will meet you with your choice of snowmobile, snow coach, or skis to whisk you along the final five snow-covered miles to our front door.
Nearby
Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks are approximately 45 miles to the west of the Brooks Lake Lodge resort. You’ll find the southern gate to the parks at Moran Junction.
Weather
Temperatures can range from lows in the 40s to highs in the 70s in the summer and lows in the teens to highs in the 30s in the winter.
On average, we receive 400-600 inches of snowfall annually making this an ideal location for winter sports.
Here in the mountains the weather can be unpredictable and cool even in the summertime. Dressing in layers will keep you comfortable no matter what Mother Nature has in store.
