Welcome to the FAQs section for Brooks Lake Lodge and Spa, a premier Jackson Hole all-inclusive resort. This historic lodge offers a perfect mix of pioneer living and modern luxury, surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes of the Rocky Mountains and the Shoshone National Forest.

Our goal is to provide our guests with an unforgettable experience of outdoor adventures, relaxation, and fine dining in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Below are some answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about our resort, amenities, and activities to help you plan your next adventure with us.

Reservations

Do you have a minimum stay requirement?

Yes, we have a small minimum requirement. We want you to enjoy the richness of the Brooks Lake Lodge and Spa experience on your schedule, not ours. So, unlike some Wyoming lodges (which require you to spend a week with them or no time at all) we have only a 2-night minimum stay in winter and 3 nights in the summer. If you can only slip away from the office for a long weekend, you’re invited to spend that long weekend with us!

What are your rates?

Rates vary based on whether you choose to stay in one of our individually named and decorated lodge rooms, cabins, or our lodge suite. As an all-inclusive lodge resort, we charge a per-person per-night fee. You can learn pricing for each room, cabin, and suite by calling us toll-free at 866-213-4022.

What is included in my rate?

We are an all-inclusive resort and most of our services are included in your per night fee including your room or cabin, all meals, the Governor’s Tea Time, membership to our Rocky Mountain Spa, entertainment by our talented staff, saloon games like darts and shuffleboard, and most seasonal activities.

How can I see your availability?

Give us a call at 866-213-4022, we’ll be happy to let you know our availability over the phone.

Activities

When are your activities scheduled?

All activities at Brooks Lake Lodge and Spa are available every day and must be booked the day prior once you arrive at the property.

Do I need to book activities in advance?

With a few exceptions, no. For most of our activities including full- and half-day horseback rides, full- and half-day fishing trips, fishing lessons, hikes, canoe trips, children’s activities, snowshoeing, and skiing, we only ask that you sign up for the activity at our front desk the night before you participate.

For snowmobiling and massage, we ask that you call ahead of your arrival to reserve your spot.

Overnight pack trips need to be booked at least a month in advance and are not available at all times. Please call 866-213-4022 for details.

Dogsledding and Yellowstone Tours are provided by third parties. We will make every effort to make these arrangements for you, but dogsledding, in particular, sells out early in the season. Please let us know well in advance if you are interested in these activities.

Big Game Hunting requires special arrangements. Please call 866-213-4022 for all the details about permits, licenses, and hunting season information.

How many activities can I participate in?

As many as you can make time for! Both full- and half-day activities are available. Every day of your stay you can choose multiple activities, or one, or none. It’s entirely up to you.

Where do your snowmobile trips go?

Brooks Lake Lodge sits at the Continental Divide Trail system. You can snowmobile 567 miles of trails (490 groomed and 77 ungroomed) at our front door. Popular destinations for tours leaving our lodge are Austin’s Peak, Sublette Pass, Lava Mountain, and Union Pass. We can tailor trips to meet your experience and desired difficulty level. Tours can consist of trail riding or more extreme mountain riding or a mixture of both.

What kind of snowmobiles do you have?

We have Polaris and some Ski-Doo mountain sled snowmobiles ready and waiting for you. If you would like a snowmobile we do not carry, please call in advance of your trip, and we will do all in our power to have it here when you arrive.

Meals

Are meals included in your rates?

Yes! Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and 4:30 tea are all included in your per-night rate.

Is your dining room open to the public?

No. The one exception is wintertime lunch when we serve snowmobilers riding the Rocky Mountain trails. All other meals are kept private for Brooks Lake Lodge guests.

Can I catch my dinner?

We encourage catch and release here at Brooks Lake Lodge and Spa; however, each couple or family may bring back 2 trout from the rivers surrounding the lodge to have prepared by our executive chef for dinner. (All trout caught in our casting pond must be returned.)

Can you accommodate special dietary needs?

Yes. Our executive chef is very accommodating and is happy to serve specially prepared meals. There are always vegetarian options on our menu. More restrictive diets like gluten-free or vegan will require a little more advance planning on our part. With your reservation confirmation you will receive a questionnaire that asks about your dietary needs or preferences, please return it two weeks prior to your arrival and we will make sure you are well taken care of.

History

The main lodge was constructed in 1922, in a record four months’ time, in the Western Craftsman architectural style that developed in the Rocky Mountain Region during the early 1900s. The lodge was originally built as a stopover for tourists en route to Yellowstone National Park and named the Two-Gwo-Tee Inn for nearby Togwotee Pass. Soon thereafter, the inn was converted to a dude ranch serving wealthy Easterners and renamed the Diamond G Ranch. The lodge is listed on the National Park Service Register of Historic Places.
